Our racing division offers students who love car and boat races. Each year we compete in the annual Ken Palmquist Duct Tape Boat Race and recently started to compete in Arkansas EV Rally. Both of these programs offer students who love racing to create a vehicle, each with its set of constraints, and race. Involvement in these races help students learn about several discipline of engineering and design.
Bryant Fall Fest holds the annual Ken Palmquist Duct Tape Boat Race and it is a great community event. The race is named in honor of Ken Palmquist a long time employee of Bryant Parks and Tourism. Students get to build and test boats made from PVC pipe and duct tape, by doing so, they learn more about the nautical engineering discipline.
In 2007 and 2008, Bryant High School competed with great success in Electric Vehicle Rally events here in AR. The vehicle had since been in storage until late February of 2013 when it was "rediscovered" and retrieved from its remote storage location.
